The tobacco BY-2 cells were provided by th … The tobacco BY-2 cells were provided by the RIKEN BRC through the National Bio-Resource Project of MEXT, Japan. The cells were cultured according to a general protocol. The cells or culture media were sampled after 0, 3, or 7 days after inoculation. The samples were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen, and stored at -80C.
